HANDS UP - WE GOT IT (A LITTLE BIT ) WRONG
I’ve repeatedly told people not to try and work out the payment due date. It’s too complicated. It turns out even our super genius Karl Bromley can’t always get it right.
Last night he realised he’d made a few errors and amended the app, setting off another mass panic. Literally within seconds of him taking down the old numbers my messenger was flooded with howls of panic. Fortunately I was at the theatre with the wife and had my phone switched off so missed most of it.
Bottom line is that for about 1300 people he used the wrong start date. This has pushed the payment date back 1 day for 900 people and 2 days for 400 or so. A few have actually come forward.
Believe me I know how frustrating this is - the council have done it to me multiple times this month, but not by one or two days but weeks. I feel your pain, I really do.
So Hands Up. We cocked up. Shouldn’t have happened but it did. It’s now fixed and KB promises me (and you) it’s now 100% right.
